Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite)
Compensation: $160,000–$190,000 base + equity + benefits

ABOUT THE ROLE
The client is building the platform that will redefine how teams use data to make fast, intelligent decisions.
Think of it as the infrastructure layer that bridges analytics, AI workflows, and real-time collaboration — built from the ground up for speed, scale, and simplicity.
As the Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll own the system architecture that powers it all. You’ll help design APIs, data models, and core backend services — while collaborating with our founders to turn big ideas into shipped features.

Architect and implement scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
Design data models and caching strategies for real-time interactions and analytics.
Lead the integration of third-party APIs and internal microservices.
Collaborate with the product and frontend teams to deliver intuitive user-facing functionality.
Establish best practices around CI/CD, testing, and observability.
Mentor junior developers as the team grows.
OUR CURRENT TECH STACK

You’ll likely work with:
Backend: Node.js (TypeScript), Python (FastAPI), or Go
Frontend: React / Next.js
Databases: PostgreSQL + Redis for caching
Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch)
DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions (CI/CD)
APIs: REST + GraphQL
Bonus: Experience with AI/ML integrations or event-driven systems
