Builder, Translator, Operator
This is a forward-deployed, product-first engineering role. You are not just an engineer — you will define AI strategy, build it, and ship it directly into production environments at major institutions. You’ll collaborate with researchers while owning real-world outcomes, and translate custom solutions into reusable product patterns that compound across deployments.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with executives, operators, and technical teams at partner institutions
- Define AI strategy for each deployment, then build and ship it end to end
- Identify high-leverage use cases tied to real, measurable business value
- Deploy LLM-powered systems into production environments at major institutions
- Build agents, workflows, and human-in-the-loop systems
- Translate custom solutions into reusable product patterns for future deployments
- Contribute to an internal platform for agentic workflow deployment
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years building AI-powered systems in a production environment
- Experience shipping real products, not just prototypes or research
- Background at a high-growth startup with a real engineering bar
- Comfortable being both hands-on builder and a mentor to others
- Strong interest in customer-facing, outcomes-driven engineering
- Python and/or TypeScript at a production level
- Cloud + DevOps proficiency — AWS, GCP, or Azure
- LLM tooling: agents, orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering
- RAG pipelines and automated workflow systems
- Ability to go from idea to deployed system quickly and independently
- You want to build, not just research
- You’re energized by messy, real-world problems with high stakes
- You’re comfortable writing custom solutions from scratch
- You prioritize impact over perfection
- Experience deploying AI into regulated industries — healthcare, financial services, or supply chain
- Direct experience working with C-suite or executive stakeholders at enterprise customers
- Familiarity with human-in-the-loop system design and agentic architectures
- Interest in founding or building a company in the future

Compensation & Logistics
- $185K – $325K base salary
