Founder's Note

Hello, I’m Iara! I started my career in finance—earning a degree in Economics from Columbia University and spending three years at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. It was the expected path, but not the aligned one. So I pivoted. Moved to London. Immersed myself in design at the University of the Arts London, exploring systems, structure, and the intersection of creative and analytical thinking.
Back in New York, I studied Networks and Systems Security at the Grove School of Engineering—balancing my love for visual work with a growing fascination with technology. That curiosity led me into recruiting, where I began placing top-tier talent for companies like Google, Meta, ByteDance, Dropbox, and Block. I supported projects with United, Netflix, The Gates Foundation, and others—helping teams scale across the U.S., Canada, LATAM, APAC, and Europe.
Over the years, I’ve recruited for some of the most critical, hard-to-fill roles in tech: Backend and Frontend Developers, DevOps Engineers, Cybersecurity Analysts, Network Engineers, Optical Engineers, and more. I’ve also helped build full-spectrum teams with Technical PMs, Designers, Data Analysts, QA Engineers, and Technical Writers—supporting product scale at speed and with clarity.
That experience became the foundation for my work at Aionia: not a firm built from convention, but from clarity. From seeing where hiring breaks down—and what it takes to fix it with speed, precision, and human alignment.
As a woman founder with a global lens, I built Aionia to be the kind of partner I always wished existed: intuitive, intelligent, and unshakably honest.
